Jürgen Salamon and his executive team:

 


Managing Partner of Dr. Peters Group


Upon completion of his studies in economic science, Jürgen Salamon worked for a corporate consultancy company before joining a renowned auditing firm.


He joined Dr. Peters GmbH in 1979, becoming a member of the senior company management in 1983 and partner in 1987. At the turn of 1989/90, Jürgen Salamon purchased all business shares in the former Dr. Peters GmbH, while at the same time resolving to offer high-quality shipping funds in the capital market.


Chief Financial Officer
 
Thomas M. Dewner, in his capacity as Managing Director of JS Holding GmbH & Co. KG, has been responsible for all finance within Dr. Peters Group as since 1 July 2008. In his position as Chief Financial Officer, Mr Dewner is in charge of the finance management for the entire group.
 
Following a bank apprenticeship, Thomas M. Dewner studied economics and business administration in Münster, Germany, and Boston. After his graduation, he worked for a major German bank in the field of investment banking both in Germany and the US. Before joining Dr. Peters Group, he was a director and head of structured finance in Frankfurt am Main.


Head of Controlling, Dr. Peters Group

Julia Zantke studied economics and mathematics at the renowned US universities of Berkeley, California, and Yale, Connecticut, graduating with a Master of Arts and a Master of Philosophy. Even while studying, Ms Zantke lectured on microeconomics and International Economics and was involved in a number of research projects. In 1996 Ms Zantke embarked on a career in the private sector, where she worked for the corporate consultancy Mitchell Madison Group and from 1999 for the HVB Group. Ms Zantke held various executive positions with core responsibilities in the areas of controlling, risk management, accounting, distribution controlling and corporate strategy. In 2007, she was appointed Chief Risk Officer, assuming comprehensive responsibilities within HVB Leasing GmbH. Since April 2009, Ms Zantke has been heading the controlling function within JS Holding GmbH & Co. KG, the financial and management holding of Dr. Peters Group. In this position, Ms Zantke is responsible for the controlling of all operative units of the Group, contributing her extensive expertise to process control and corporate management in particular.


Managing Partner of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. Emissionshaus KG

Christian-Oscar Geyer has been Managing Director of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. Emissionshaus KG since July 2002 and became a partner in 2005. He holds a degree in business administration from the renowned Schloss Reichhartshausen European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany.
 
Following his studies, he worked for two years in the risk management unit of a large US insurance broker, before joining another underwriting firm as authorised officer and head of distribution. In the seven years with this underwriting firm, he acquired indepth industry expertise, which he now contributes to Dr. Peters.


Head of Sales Force, Authorised Officer

 

Mr. Bernaczek was after his apprenticeship in Banking, several years at a leading regional bank in the department for distributing and crediting.

 

Ongoing he was with a well known German freighting company at the fund administration, before he changed to the Dr. Peters Group in October 2003. First he was responsible for the inner distribution services. He became to the head of distribution in September 2007 and was elected to get procuration.

Following his vocational training as a qualified bank officer, Dr. Albert Tillmann studied business administration at the university of Münster. Subsequent to his graduation, he worked as a research associate at the Clausthal institute for environmental technology and completed a PhD in economic sciences (Dr. rer. pol.) at the university of Greifswald.


After his employment in the risk management and controlling division of a company in the energy sector, in 2000 Dr. Albert Tillmann transferred to the investment management industry, where he held a number of executive positions with two renowned companies, ranging from project manager to full member of the management board. He joined Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. Emissionshaus KG in September 2006 and currently holds the position of Managing Director – Project Development.


Head of Project Development

 

Jörg Hawig graduated as a qualified business administrator from the university of Paderborn.

 

Since 1990, he has been responsible for the analysis and computation of long-term capital investment offers with Dr. Peters Group. Initially, he was also responsible for the management of current funds. Today, he heads the project development division of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. Emissionshaus KG.


Managing Director of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. KG

Dr Schmidt commenced his professional career by training as a qualified bank officer. He went on to study business administration, with an emphasis on taxation, insurance and finance, at Mannheim University. In 1999 Dr Schmidt joined the Audit Financial Service department at the auditing company KPMG, where he rapidly rose to a number of executive positions. Most recently, Dr Schmidt was responsible, in his capacity as authorised officer (Prokurist), for a number of national and international audit and consultancy mandates for private equity companies and banks. Alongside his professional career, Dr Schmidt completed a PhD in economic sciences and also gained IFRS and US GAAP accreditation for the auditing of annual and consolidated financial statements. In 2009 Dr Schmidt joined Dr. Peters Group where his wide-ranging responsibilities as a Managing Director primarily focus on fund management, (fund) accounting, human resources and taxation.


Managing Director of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. KG

 

After graduating from the university of Dortmund as a fully qualified business administrator (Dipl.-Kfm.), Marc Bartels worked as executive assistant to the company management and sales manager for a major trading company.

 

He joined the Dr. Peters Group in 1999 where he was initially responsible for the management of individual funds. In October 2002 he was appointed Authorised Officer and, in his capacity as senior fund manager, now heads the shipping fund division.


Head of Finance, Authorised Officer

As a graduate bank manager, Joachim Brandt worked for various well known banks before joining the Dr. Peters Group. Having held positions ranging from departmental head to branch manager, Joachim Brandt can bring some 20 years of experience in the banking business to the table.


Joining the Dr. Peters Group in 1992, he now heads the finance department. In August 2001 he was appointed Authorised Officer of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co KG.


Head of Real Estate/Financial Products Fund Management, Authorised Officer

Following his business administration studies in the US and Germany, Thomas Tiede worked for four years as an equity investment manager for Deutsche Bank. He then worked as an M&A advisor with both Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young.

 

In early 2004, Thomas Tiede joined Dr. Peters Group where he is currently responsible for the real estate and financial products fund management as a senior fund manager.


Head of tax directorate, Authorised Officer

Andreas Gollan is a graduate lawyer. Following his law study and legal clerkship focused on economic law, Mr. Gollan worked for an international acting property consulting company in Düsseldorf. Afterwards followed several years as consultant at Ernst & Young AG in Essen with emphases in law, taxes and conception of closed-end funds.

 

He joined Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. Emissionshaus KG in July 2006 for the section of project development, mainly working on the projecting and realization of the new investment segment of aircraft funds. In June 2008 he assumed the administration of tax directorate of Dr. Peters GmbH & Co. KG and received procuration in December 2008.


Managing Director of DS Aviation GmbH & Co. KG

Following his graduation in business administration from Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Christian Mailly commenced his career with Commerzbank in 1994. As a financial analyst with a focus on the transport and automotive industries, Mr Mailly spent two years working for the bank in Frankfurt und two years in Paris. In 1998, he returned to the Frankfurt head office where, in his capacity as project manager in the aviation finance division, he was involved in a wide range of aircraft financing transactions. In 2004 Mr Mailly joined HSH Nordbank, where, as Vice President Aviation Finance, he was responsible for major European aviation clients of the bank, successfully structuring several aircraft operating lease transactions. Before joining Dr. Peters Group in 2009, Mr Mailly headed all equity and fund projects in the aviation division. At Dr. Peters Group, he assumed the responsibility for DS Aviation GmbH & Co. KG. With over ten years experience in aviation finance and operating lease transactions, Mr Mailly is responsible for developing and expanding all Group activities in the field of aviation.


Managing Director of DS-Fonds-Treuhand GmbH

After completion of his studies as a certified business teacher, Michael Rulhoff began his career in 1998 in the underwriting house of a large banking group where he worked in fund development and as executive assistant to the company management. He also headed strategic research and, in his last position as general divisional manager, was responsible for the sales organisation.


In 2002, he joined the Dr. Peters Group as the head of controlling and was appointed Managing Director of DS-Fonds-Treuhand GmbH in mid 2005.


Managing Director of DS Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG

Following the completion of her legal studies, Susanne Meyer worked for a renowned shipping company in the areas of human resources and commercial management for 20 years, most recently as Director Human Resources. As a member of various advisory bodies to shipping industry lobby groups and associations, Ms Meyer represented employers in international collective bargaining negotiations. Susanne Meyer joined Dr. Peters Group this year and is responsible for the commercial management of DS Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG.

Following the completion of his training as a shipping agent, Claus Bröhan worked in a variety of positions as a chartering broker, primarily in the areas of container and bulk shipping. In 1999 he left Toepfer Transport Hamburg to join the chartering division of the „NORD“ Klaus E. Oldendorff Hamburg shipping company, where, in his capacity as the head of this division, he was responsible for the management of the company's own container vessels and bulk carriers. In addition, he managed the O&S Container Pool in co-operation with the Hamburg-based company Bernhardt Schulte. In November 2008, Claus Bröhan was appointed Managing Director/Chartering at DS Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG.


Managing Director DS Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG


Following his university entrance exam, Hartmut Nickel commenced his training as a ship engineer (machinist). After completion of his traineeship, he studied ship engineering with a focus on diesel engines at the College of Maritime Studies (Hochschule für Seefahrt) in Warnemünde/Wustrow. Following his graduation, Hartmut worked as a fully qualified engineer in various positions on board German merchant vessels and later for port operations in Hamburg. In 1996, he joined the inspection department of the Oldendorff Carrier shipping company in Lübeck, where he worked for almost ten years as a technical inspector for container and bulk cargo vessels, including self-unloading bulk carriers. In 2004, Hartmut became a publicly appointed and sworn expert on ship engine damage, having been appointed by the Lübeck Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In 2006, he accepted the position of head inspector at the Hamburg-based Peter Döhle shipping company. Drawing on his many years of experience, Hartmut has been responsible for technical ship management at DS Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG in his capacity of Managing Director since September 2008.
